About the job

For every child, Hope. Along with the DOers and THINKers team, the consultant is expected to facilitate and accompany the success of the Girls Movement from June to December 2025. He/she will be held accountable for the success of the activities in a synchronized way in all 10 Regions. The consultant will ensure that the Girls' agenda in Cameroon is effectively represented at regional and global levels, aligning it with national priorities, the context of the country, and actions of the Country office. Remarks: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and advance to the next stage of the selection process. Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws. Job requirements
  • Good sense of organization and financial management
  • Fluency in French is required. Knowledge of another official UN language, English, or a local language is an asset.
  • A first University Degree in a relevant field, such as Administration or Finance.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergencies is considered an asset.
  • Good knowledge of Excel.
Responsibilities
  • Take part in the submission of the finalization of the Girls’ Movement Report and give recommendations for Next step. Period: Novembre - Decembre. Proportion: 20%
  • Administrative and Finance is ensured during the National Summit, and a note record of the finance and administrative expenses is out. Period: September. Proportion: 15%
  • Administrative and logistical of the Girls’ Rights Caravan in the second round is ensured, + data on the number of people reached during the caravan's passage. Proportion: 15%
  • Administrative and logistical of the Girls’ Rights Caravan in the first round is ensured, + Planning of materials and logistics to be dispatched to other Regions. Period: June - July. Proportion: 20%
  • Pre-cleaning of collected data is done. Period: August. Proportion: 15%
  • Tickets, accommodation, and all logistical materials for all attendees are ensured. Period: October. Proportion: 15%
